Fair Housing from Start to Finish: Understanding the Life of a Fair Housing Complaint and Reasonable Accommodation Requests for Emotional Support Animals

Navigating the world of housing can sometimes lead to challenges, especially when it comes to ensuring fair treatment. The session will help you understand the steps involved in filing a complaint, which can help create a fairer housing market for all. If someone believes they have been discriminated against, understanding the life of a fair housing complaint, from start to finish can help you avoid a costly mistake. We will discuss the 8 steps of a fair housing suit with three professionals intimately involved in making certain you as a housing provider are aware of how a complaint can take shape. These 8 steps are: Recognizing Discrimination, Filing the Complaint Initial Review, Investigation, Conciliation, Determination, Legal Proceedings and Resolution.
